How did you meet / How did it all begin?
We met through a mutual friend, at his BBQ dinner. It wasn’t love at first sight, ha. We were good mates for 12 months before the first kiss happened. Our love grew strong very quickly even though we knew I was moving to the UK. We dated for a few months and then I moved in with Adam for the 3 months before I left for the UK. We did the long distance thing and it wasn’t easy, we missed each other a lot and would spend a lot of time on Skype. I had my 2-year working Visa. I lasted 5 months traveling then moved back to Melbourne. We were in love.
Tell us a little bit about your engagement story?
6 months prior to the proposal, Adam took a secret trip to ‘Seahorse Boutique’ to see Jordy. There, the ring was designed and made. After 7 years together Adam decided he wanted to ‘engage me’. It was in Darwin on the esplanade, he was down on one knee and told me he wanted to ‘engage me’. There was no question for me to answer, the ring was put on my finger and we couldn’t of been happier. One hour later we heading to the airport and boarded a plane to Bali. The celebrations continued for a week in Bali with some close friends.
What first attracted you to your partner?
His biceps, haha. Nah his relaxed attitude, (he has said to me from the very beginning, ‘Relax, shit works out’) and the way he made me feel. He makes me smile and is so much fun to be around. He is my thunder buddy.

We did it all ourselves with the help of some amazing family and friends. From the finest detail to our biggest production line, which was making all the tables, we got it done. Dad and his best mate Alex were the masterminds behind the Hay Wall. Even the wedding favours were hand-made. My sister-in-law Jess, made all the girls a candle each and my brother-in-law Todd and father-in-law Graeme, collected a jar of honey for each of the boys, fresh from the bee hives on their farm. Everything was styled and made with lots of love.
Where did you get inspiration from for your wedding?
Looking through magazines, Instagram and of course Pinterest.

What was your most memorable moment?
It’s too hard to pick the most memorable moment from our wedding day but I will never forget the moment I put the Alexandra dress on and how I felt. Then I turned to see my mum sitting on the GLL showroom couch in tears. It was love at first sight with the dress.
What is your tip of advice for future brides?
You can try your very best but you will never please everyone, at the end of the day it’s about you and your partner. There’s not many opportunities in life where we get ALL our loved ones together for an incredible day, enjoy every moment.
