How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

Ever since I came across the Tara gown on Pinterest, no other gown has compared. About two months after we got engaged, I saw that Grace Loves Lace was coming to New York City for a Concierge event. My mom and I bought plane tickets right away! The moment I tried on the Tara dress I knew I would be wearing it on my special day. My mom shed happy tears when she saw me walk out and also knew right away that it was “the one”. My mom loved it so much, she decided to wear a Grace Loves Lace dress, too! She wore the champagne Lace Maxi Dress and looked amazing. I styled my gown with the Hera Anklets to add a unique, sophisticated twist to my wedding day look.

Describe your look in three words…

Natural, elegant, dreamy

How did he propose?

I couldn’t have dreamt of a better evening. While standing on my favourite beach, looking out into the ocean, Billy got down on one knee and asked me the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer. After he proposed, I looked up to see my family and friends on the balcony of the beach club cheering and fireworks going off in the background. It was an indescribable feeling; pure happiness! The photographer was hiding in the sea grass capturing each special moment. We went upstairs where we were greeted with champagne by family and friends who flew in for the proposal. Then, he sat me down to play a video he made. Cue the tears! It was a compilation of videos from family and friends, near and far, telling me to “say yes!” I could watch it on repeat a million times!

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

I wanted our wedding to be beautiful, natural and, most importantly, fun. It was really important to the both of us for the reception to be at Billy’s family’s home. Billy’s two brothers and sister all had their wedding receptions there, so it was a very special venue to us (and just so happens to be absolutely beautiful!). I wanted the decor and flowers to be earthy, organic and natural with lots of greens!

The funniest moment of the day was…

When Billy’s brother decided to turn around and pull his pants down in the middle of pictures!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

Refreshing the weather app over and over the week leading up to the wedding!
