How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?
The Rosa gown was the only wedding dress I tried on – my lovely friend Megs thought it would be perfect for me… she was right! I wanted something simple and comfortable, but the fabric added a romantic/artistic element to the dress that I loved! The nude GLL Dosa heels were super comfortable and we added a vintage Parisian tiara to pull it all together.
Describe your look in three words…
Simple, romantic, classic.
How did he propose?
Daniel woke me up early one morning and convinced me to watch the sunrise on the sand dune behind our house. We were lying on the sand chatting and just as the sun popped up behind the horizon – he proposed. I’ll never forget it – he nailed it!
What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?
The goal was to keep it simple and keep it as much about the two of us as possible. Our good friend Mike flew from the USA to marry us and captured our personalities and what we wanted perfectly – then it was all about celebrating!
The funniest moments on the day were…
When we were getting our photos taken, Daniel was doing a lot of blue steel modelling moves, it was hilarious and he had the Photographers and I in hysterics – it made for a fun photoshoot! Also, Daniel’s Opa made a hilarious and heartwarming speech at the reception.
What was the most stressful part to planning?
We were pretty relaxed – the most stressful part was sourcing the cheapest pineapples for our tropical theme!
Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…
My friend sprayed me with this amazing Tom Ford Shimmer Spray – smells amazing and gives you a gorgeous glow. I went for a walk along the beach the morning of the wedding just on my own, just to have some time to myself before the craziness of the day began.
A GLL woman is to you…
A woman with a zest and energy for all things beautiful in life.
Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…
