How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

I knew I wanted something boho, chic, lacy and feminine. Since the wedding was going to be in Spain and I was living in Italy, I decided to do some research on Instagram first, and I suddenly fell in love with GLL. From that moment on, I dreamed of getting my gown from GLL, but I had only six months and I was scared to purchase it online without trying it on. Then I found out that GLL had just recently opened up their London showroom, so I took the first flight to London. I have to say, my stylist at the showroom was incredibly awesome and helpful. After trying on several dresses, I slipped on the Mai and I knew right away. The Mai gown is absolutely gorgeous.

Describe your look in three words…

Boho, White, Feminine.

How did he propose?

David proposed to me at Christmas of 2014 in New York City. We were taking a ride in a horse-drawn carriage in Central Park, it was snowing and we were covered with a blanket. We had never spoken about marriage before, so it was very surprising and incredibly romantic when he pulled out the most beautiful ring and proposed to me.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

Our goal was to bring our families and our closest friends from around the world together in an intimate, personal and fun wedding. My husband and I wanted the wedding to represent us, our style and likes. So we did a DIY wedding with a personal touch, making it more special with our own music, decorative elements and gifts for the guests.

The funniest moments on the day were…

During the ceremony, the speech given by David´s friend was hilarious. And afterwards, we surprised our guests with a funny and daring dance.

What was the most stressful part to planning?

The most stressful part of planning was doing it all to our taste and down to the smallest details in six months, from abroad, and keeping our wedding dream alive without falling into bankruptcy. We had an amazing wedding planner (Loveatope) which was a lot of help.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

Get lots of sleep, eat healthy, drink a lot of water…but above all, just be yourself, and don’t try to be something that you are not!

A GLL woman is to you…

Dazzling, feminine, free and unique.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…

Don’t overthink, and try to have everything ready the week before the wedding, all the minor details, so you do not run out of time. If that happens, just remember, none of those things really matter. You’re marrying the one, your best friend, and there is nothing that can cloud that.
