Greg + Kate in the Inca

An earthy, bohemian wedding in California, featuring our signature Inca gown.

How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

I found the Inca dress somewhere online and tracked it down! I knew it was the one the first time I laid eyes on it!

Describe your look in three words…

Earthy, bohemian, free spirit.

How did he propose?

After a long hike at Big Sur he proposed to me at Mcway Falls.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

We wanted something that represented us and what we love. We absolutely LOVE the outdoors and wanted all of our friends and family dancing under the stars. Creating a magical space for our ceremony was important, it was PERFECT.

The funniest moments on the day were…

The venue was off the beaten path and was not GPS accessible. We had directions printed out for everyone. With that said, Greg was in a van with his father, my father and the rest of the men from the wedding party. They put the venue in the GPS and got LOST! They were running late and were afraid the wedding would not start on time.  Greg recognized a random desert tree from a visit to the venue earlier that year, jumped out and ran about ½ mile to the venue through the dessert. Needless to say, he made it on time!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

Planning a wedding is stressful! I really didn’t stress out too much. The best advice I received when I got engaged was to enjoy the planning, it’s supposed to be fun, IT’S YOUR WEDDING! I enjoyed every single second and really didn’t stress too much.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

I live a pretty healthy lifestyle so I just tried to stay on track with my normal routine and maybe stayed out of the sun a little more than usual and drank a few extra glasses of water a day!

A GLL woman is to you…

Someone who stays true to herself and true to the love that her and her partner share.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…

Enjoy every second of planning and your wedding day. Don’t forget to take in each and every moment. The most enjoyable part of our wedding day was witnessing all of our favourite people together celebrating our love.
