How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

I had seen pictures of the ARLO gown long before I started looking for dress. When it came time, no matter how much I researched, I just couldn’t get the ARLO out of my mind. Everything else was being planned and purchased from a distance anyway, so I figured, why not take the plunge and order my dress online too? Even though I hadn’t tried it on, I just knew it embodied exactly what I was looking for. And it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Describe your look in three words…

Minimal, Luxe & Timeless.

How did he propose?

We’d spent 6 months apart when we were finally reunited in Hawaii for 10 days this past March. During those 10 days, Matt stole me away for a date that he’d been planning for weeks with some of his friends. They’d set up the most picturesque scene in a secluded spot on the beachfront. He led me to this spot, doted on me with sweet words, asked me to dance, and eventually ended up proposing.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

Our goal was to honour the sacredness of becoming one, to wholeheartedly express our deep love and affection for one another, and to celebrate with our favourite people in the world.

The funniest moments on the day were…

Almost fainting because I hadn’t eaten enough!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

Being long-distance from each other, while also booking and planning everything from interstate/oversaes. However, this also had its perks.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

My wedding prep was fairly limited due to my health, so I would say do what you can, look after your body as you would normally, but don’t do anything drastic. There’s enough going on without you having to worry about that too.

A GLL woman is to you…

Someone who knows who she is.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…

By the time your wedding day finally arrives, a lot of the details end up seeming insignificant. Get creative, express your personal style, and enjoy the process of watching everything come together, but don’t let the details overshadow the joy of the union you’re about to enter into. The details just add to the beauty, they by no means define it.
