Nick + Abby in our Inca gown

A relaxed, bohemian wedding in Byron Bay, featuring our signature Inca gown.

How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

I came across the Inca dress online and simply fell in love.  Once we saw it in person we knew this was the one for me.

Describe your look in three words…

Natural, Unique, Happy

How did he propose?

Nick Proposed NYE 2016 during our trip overseas. We were in NYC on New Years and out for dinner, time had flown by when we realized how close it was to midnight so we raced (literally) to central park to catch the fireworks where he proposed just after the count down.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

We know we love each other, he is my best friend, we have known one another for 17 years and were a couple for 10 before the wedding. Our day was simply to celebrate our love with all our closest family & friends and to have fun.. limit the formalities, have great music, delicious food and cocktails for all our guests to enjoy.

The funniest moments on the day were…

Speeches definitely, particularly my sister’s, she reworded a mashup of songs from when we were young through to current era and re worded them all about us, had everyone in stitches.

What was the most stressful part to planning?

It was more the parts I couldn’t plan. Our wedding was outdoors and we received all the rain prior to cyclone Debbie. The day before our wedding day Byron collected over 100mm of rain, roads were cut and our wedding day forecast was heavy showers and >80mm! Somehow, we woke up to sunshine which carried through the whole day.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

Don’t become overwhelmed with the whole process, eat well, drink plenty of water, be active and have a good night sleep the night before.

A GLL woman is to you…

A unique, yet edgy and carefree bride.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…

Breath, have fun and enjoy the day – all the hard work is done. My tips would be: have a wet weather back up plan and to invest in a videographer, it captures all your amazing memories from the day and you will have that with you for the rest of your life –
