Quinton + Ciera in the Hollie 2.0

An elegant Florida wedding, featuring our Hollie 2.0 gown.

How did you decide on your GLL gown and accessories?

I’ve had my eye on Grace Loves Lace for a while now. To be honest, I am in love with all of the dresses, but for some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about the Hollie 2.0. We picked a date shortly after getting engaged and I was short on time. Rather than wasting my time at bridal stores, I decided to follow my heart and I ordered my gown online. When it arrived I was so nervous to try it on. To my relief, it fit perfectly, and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision. For the accessories, I was able to make it to the Miami Concierge event and I picked out my Hollie veil, Virtue Pearl earrings, and Venus anklets.

Describe your look in three words…

Delicate, Radiant, Whimsical.

How did he propose?

Ever since we met we have loved to travel and explore together. We took a 2 month long trip to Quinton’s hometown, Durban, South Africa. Six days before we got on the plane to come back to the states he got down on one knee at the top of the Mabhida Stadium and asked me to marry him. I said YES, of course.

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

My goal was to be stress free, to cherish those emotions, and to take time to step back and really enjoy the day spent with loved ones.

The funniest moments on the day were…

Haha, there were a few…. My wedding ring didn’t arrive in time so I had to borrow one of my bridesmaids (I needed something borrowed anyway). But, the funny thing is that after the wedding and we got back home we realized it was delivered to our house that day! We just laughed it off.

What was the most stressful part to planning?

We only had 7 months to plan, that made some things complicated!

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

Try cooking some new healthy recipes in the months leading up to the big day. For me, cooking helps de-stress and when it’s healthy you feel good about what you’re eating.

A GLL woman is to you…

Brave and bold, with an effortless kind of beauty. The kind of woman who loves hard, and with her whole heart.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…

My husband told me that all he wanted on our wedding day was for me to look like me. Remember this: it’s you who he loves, not your hair, or your makeup, or the dress you are wearing…it’s what he sees on the inside that he loves so much. Whoever you are, be YOU!
