Our Purpose

The why behind what we do and our ethical manufacturing processes.

Our Purpose

We are committed to designing and producing luxurious and ethical wedding gowns that women feel confident and comfortable in; whilst keeping them at an accessible price point.

We value skill, heritage and the art of dressmaking and champion Australian manufacturing. We are always looking at our business practice to identify meaningful ways we can adapt, adjust and grow. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure that we look after our people, brides and our planet.

Our mission is to be the most iconic leader in the modern bridal world. We are driven by our passion to create equity for women in business and to create jobs that support the manufacturing industry in Australia. Over the last 10 years of business, our commitment to our mission and our purpose has remained steadfast.

The purpose of Grace Loves Lace was to revolutionise how gowns were designed and sold. I wanted to introduce brides to beautiful, luxurious, comfortable, accessibly priced, and ethically made gowns available through an innovative e-commerce platform.

In an industry flooded with tradition, we make wedding dresses...

  • Comfortable to wear, easy to fit
  • Quality fabrics & construction
  • Authentic design & brand
  • Accessible price points & buying experience
  • Experience service like no other

Manufacturing

Over the past ten years, we have been committed to Australian sustainable manufacturing, providing pristine workplace conditions, recycling, waste management and carbon offsetting throughout our business practices. Despite incredible business growth, we remain true to our values and are dedicated to keeping our wedding dresses manufactured in Australia.

Footprint

Over 80% of our gowns are made-to-order, which ensures we never have excess stock going to landfill. We keep minimal ready-to-wear stock on hand to ensure what we make, we actually use. We have also ensured that all our packaging is FSC Certified. We minimise our carbon emissions by designing, sampling and producing all orders in Australia, keeping our supply chain all in the same location. We have initiatives in place to significantly reduce and recycle our material offcuts including product lines and our partnership with Upparel recycling firm which turns all our fabric waste into new yarn.

Supply Chain

We continuously review our supply chain from start to finish. With all of our design, development, production, quality control and dispatch undertaken in Australia, we are one of very few bridal brands who maintain extreme transparency of how your gown is being designed and made. At GRACE, we ensure that all fabric suppliers provide the necessary certification to ensure ethical and sustainable business practices and all packaging is FSC Certified.

Materials

Our materials are sourced from France, Asia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, America and Australia. As part of our commitment to innovation and sustainable practices, we've invented our own GRS certified eco lace, crafted from 100% recycled materials. We are also transitioning to satin made from 95% recycled materials for all occasionwear. Our packaging is FSC certified and we moved to compostable plastics in 2021. We strive to ensure excess trims, motifs and spare fabrics are incorporated into designs as we strive to eradicate fabric wastage.

Designs

From the beginning, the GRACE signature aesthetic has been luxury you can dance in. We introduced an innovative and modern way of designing and constructing wedding dresses, steering clear of boning, corsetry and opting for ‘stretch’ instead. We are known for the way we layer and mix fabrics and trims in unique combinations and silhouettes that are comfortable and allow you to move. Our award-winning gowns work with your body, not against it allowing you to move, laugh and dance; freely.

People

Our team is comprised of over 250 talented individuals from around the globe, including designers, dressmakers, stylists, marketers and our support office team. Collectively, we share a goal to push creative boundaries, look for ways to challenge convention and to be the iconic and respected leader in the modern bridal world.  As a female-founded business, GRACE is passionate about supporting women, both in the showroom with our customers and by accelerating the careers of our internal team members. Our workforce is over 97% female with the majority of leadership roles held by women. The award-winning team at GRACE love what they do and pride themselves on the reputation they’ve built as the industry leaders in unique bridal.
