Joey & Brianna in the Rosa Gown
Within two months Brianna and Joey planned their dream non-traditional wedding. Serving tacos for dinner on family style tables and sticking to simplistic décor and letting the gorgeous backdrop of the Colorado mountains do the rest.
The Love Story
Brianna and Joey's story began in college when Brianna was visiting one of her girlfriends in Grand Lake, Colorado for the weekend. Coincidentally, Joey was also in the mountains at the same time, with Brianna's friends' partner. It was love at first sight, as they immediately connected. After creating sweet memories and sealing a strong bond together throughout the weekend, Joey invited Brianna back for a Halloween celebration a month later.
Â
Even though they were separated shortly after, Brianna and Joey managed to find their way back to each other. They maintained their relationship for a year and a half until Brianna decided to move to Colorado. Their reunion was incredibly special. Upon returning to Colorado, Brianna had the opportunity to attend one of their mutual friends' weddings. She shares that this friend happened to be the one who had introduced them earlier that year. Brianna explains how meaningful it felt to have come full circle in their relationship.
Â
Fast-forward a few years and now with a baby on the way, the couple decided to tie the knot in Evergreen, Colorado - a meaningful beginning to their lives as newlyweds together! At Grace, we love how pregnancy brings beautiful emotions and sets the tone for a new life as a family. And what better way to embrace those magical moments than by having a wedding?Â

From Hail to Happily Ever After
They say a little rain on your wedding day is good luck. So how lucky should you feel when it starts hailing? As Brianna arrived at the venue, Mother Nature decided to throw a curveball. Hailing on your special day can be stressful, especially just an hour and a half before the ceremony. “All the florals for our altar and aisle were already set up,” Brianna explains. She was slightly panicking, but luckily, it all ceased after ten minutes. Mother Nature's fury lessened, leaving the couple with the prettiest sunny day. Their florals remained perfect and undamaged!

Saying Yes to The Dress
Brianna surprised herself with Rosa, the gown she said yes to. When she tried it on at our Denver Boutique, she knew she had found the one. “It made me feel like a bride,” she shared. Initially, Brianna hadn't pictured herself in a lace wedding dress. For her wedding, she wanted to feel confident. She was one of those brides who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted. Eventually, the Rosa gown perfectly suited their wedding style and the vibe Brianna was looking for. The overall experience was filled with positivity and joy for Brianna. The challenging part was saying “yes” to the dress as she loved every dress she tried on. However in the end, she followed her heart and said yes to the one that felt just right.Â
A Personalized Touch
We absolutely adore the personalized touch at weddings. It's a meaningful way to express your unique style and personality on your special day. This Evergreen celebration was truly brimming with DIY creativity! Over the years, no Grace bride has ever been disappointed with her DIY projects. For their elegant celebration, the newlyweds took charge of all the floral arrangements. Judging from the photos, those monochromatic bouquets turned out incredibly stunning. Â
Â
The couple kept it casual, incorporating plenty of ranunculus, calla lilies, and white roses. They even decided to complement these with locally sourced flowers. They brought their floral vision to life with the help of a skilled cousin-in-law. She was nothing short of amazing, embracing the whole project and ensuring Brianna's floral dreams came true. Not only did she create stunning bouquets, but she also organized a beautiful altar piece along with more extraordinary large arrangements. Brianna was absolutely blown away, and we couldn’t agree more!Â
